okay Elle Kennedy you really outdid yourself here!

For starters my TBR is about 15 miles long (if not longer) and I am in now way shape or form in a place where I should be buying new books. Ever again.

Now will I follow that rule? nope. but we can try.

I was on vacation, and we were stopping at a local Italian Restaurant to pick up some dinner we ordered so we could just hangout at the house as a family, well we pull on up and BOOM small local bookstore.

RIGHT NEXT DOOR.

I couldn't not go inside.

I probably could've avoided buying another book - but also no.

So I grabbed The Graham Effect not really thinking anything of it, its a hockey romance. I am a sport romance girly (I literally have an entire shelf dedicated), seems perfect.

I WASN'T EXPECTING TO FALL IN LOVE IN THE SERIES.

OK. lets start with the Graham Effect: 4.7 Stars

Gigi and Ryder have the best chemistry, grumpy bad boy athlete, bubbly independently driven female athlete. Muah, Chefs kiss, perfection! The fact that the whole story starts years ago when they accidentally meet for the first time and then are forced to utilize each other's skills to be successful in their lives is perfect.

Tropes: enemies to lovers? kind of. sports romance. forced proximity. THAT IS MY WIFE.

talk about a line that did me in.

NEXT: The Dixon Rule: 5 Stars

I am obsessed there are no ifs, ands or buts about it. I really liked the Graham Effect and usually the second book in a series is also good but this one is exceptional. I cried. Twice.

The last romance book to make me cry, and I mean TRUE romance book to make me CRY CRY was The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros & before that was People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry. It is UNCOMMON for me to cry in a true romance book.

Diana Dixon and Shane Lindley have the BEST banter. The forced proximity neighbors who pretend to want nothing to do with each other other than actively annoy the other turns to friends to the sweetest love there is.

WARNING: there are some aspects of this book that can be very triggering to some - such as notes to familial death, loss of a loved one, broken familial relationships, domestic violence, stalking etc.

If those are things you can read without a problem then again I highly highly recommend this series. I literally finished it and couldn't wait to start the next book.

turns out the next book isn't released yet.

If you have read these, what were your thoughts????????????

If you haven't LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
