Did you hire an editor for your book? Do you have a friend who is good at editing? Did you just chose to do it yourself?
I did two different things, I edited my book the first time and then sent it to an editor for the next set of editing. Copyediting to be exact.
How did I find my editor?
Easy. As a self-publishing indie author, it is was important to me to find "indie" editors to support my other small businesses.
I found many editors that I wanted to reach out to, to see if they would be interested in editing my novel and novella, enjoyed romance novels, their timeline for editing and felt personable.
I settled on two different editors who are amazing and I am grateful to have them.
My prequel novella for the Fisher Creek series is currently in its first round of professional editing and I am so excited to get it back and hear her thoughts.
Let me know your experience with editors, what you liked and didn't like, etc.
I will certainly keep you updated on the Cranberry Kisses front.
